HIGHT ELECTRIC EXPANDS
ALL-EV TRUCK FLEET TO 20
More Additions Expected in 2025
Long Beach, California, October 29, 2024 – Hight Electric, part of the Hight Logistics family, announced today the addition of nine new electric trucks to its expanding all-EV fleet, bringing the total fleet size to 20.
Since its launch in 2022 as a division of Hight Logistics, Hight Electric has logged 100,000 miles, offsetting an estimated 300,000 pounds of CO2 emissions. The fleet handles port drayage and over-the-road trucking within a 230-mile range and operates with dedicated on-site charging facilities featuring six charging stations.
“We’re hearing more and more from shippers who want emissions-free transport,” said Rudy Diaz, CEO of Hight Electric. “We’ve invested in our all-EV fleet because we recognize that corporate commitments to sustainability will continue to grow. This commitment is even more critical now with the new Scope 3 reporting requirements.”
Scope 3 is a regulatory mandate by the Securities and Exchange Commission that requires publicly traded companies to report the carbon emissions from other companies operating on their behalf. Hight Electric is fully prepared to track and provide clients with the necessary data for compliance, with minimal emissions due to its all-electric fleet.
“Clients can rest assured that our dedicated drivers will transport their containers from port to destination without contributing to their carbon footprint,” Diaz added.
Hight Electric plans to further expand its EV fleet in 2025 to meet increasing demand.
