Hight Logistics/Hight Electric is committed to maintaining the highest capacity to meet the needs of its customers in the drayage field. That is why Hight has recently acquired two drayage companies that will help to boost that capacity.
Long Beach-based TJ Trucking, a successful operator since 2014, is now part of the Hight family. Renowned for its expertise in freight and warehousing, TJ has built a strong reputation in and around the West Coast ports.
“TJ is a great fit for the Hight family,” said Hight Logistics/Hight Electric CEO Rudy Diaz. “By adding their team, their equipment and their customer base, we complement our existing capabilities and make our overall operation stronger. And their culture is very much aligned with ours.”
Hight also acquired Signal Hill-based Spartan Intermodal, which has operated successfully since 2018.
“Both companies really liked the direction Hight is heading with electric trucks, and especially our culture here,” Diaz said. “They felt their customers would get the best service here, and they really appreciated how Hight Electric and Hight Logistics operate.”
The two acquisitions will bring six new employees to the Hight team. Additionally, all equipment acquired will be rebranded under the Hight Logistics/Hight Electric name.
Hight Logistics/Hight Electric, which has long been a leader in drayage services, is committed to building and operating a first-rate, all-electric fleet to service customers shipping through the Port of Long Beach. It is part of a companywide commitment to help the supply chain/logistics industry achieve excellence in stewardship of the planet.
“We are always glad to find logistics professionals who embrace these principles of stewardship and sustainability,” Diaz said. “Making them part of our organization is an ideal way to help all of us achieve these goals.”
